Musings 101

Things I was taught as a child-
I love you, I’m busy.
What’s important to you is not important to me.
Assimilate yourself.
Don’t cry.
Never show the world your weakness.
Overachieving is good.
You get more attention when you’re sick or hurt.
Doing your chores helps me with my chaos.
Don’t judge a person by appearance.
Family is consistent; family is complicated.
Keep your emotions in a box and do the job at hand.
I’m going to share with you on a ‘need to know’ basis.

Things I learned as an adult-
Some dreams come true; others don’t.
Willing something into existence doesn’t work.
Luck is ephemeral- it flickers in and out of Life.
Love is enriched with hard work.
You can find your soul mate.
There are many points of reality.
Harsh judgments create most of the world’s problems.
Your children are amazing and different.
Strive to be honest to the world, but protect your emotions.
When I am passionate about something, I sometimes scare people.
